Apologies for a late report. I flew out of MAN T2 a few weeks ago soon after LH group of airlines moved from T1 on 27 Oct.

Last time I departed from T2 earlier in the year some part of the Aspire Lounge must have been blocked off because I saw more windows this time. It is still much smaller than the T1 Aspire Lounge. It was tolerable soon after 7am on a weekday but I can imagine it could easily become impossible to find seats. Swissport may have to stop accepting paid guests. The only thing that’s an improvement on the T1 Aspire lounge is there are toilets accessible from within the lounge.

Between the railway station and T2 there are 5 walkways (with some gaps in between) and 4 of them were working. Some part of T2 is still a construction site and between the the station and T2 you have to go out of the building at one point and come back through another door. LH group check-in counters are in area E in the centre.

Compared to T1 there’s a lot more walking. Most LH group of flights seem to depart from A gates which are at far end of the terminal almost next to the M56! The elevator for gate A9 where my flight departed from was not working so passengers had to walk down stairs. More recently some flights are departing from 2xx gates which are more central.

Both security on departure and passport control on arrival were very quiet with no queues (early morning departure, mid and late morning arrivals) but the distance you have to walk both on departure and on arrival is much longer compared to T1. Let’s see what it will be like when the terminal is no longer a construction site.

A gates are very close to the M56 motorway.
