have stayed at Intecon Expo and Intercon Pudong, so this gave me an alternative view of another property. For others wishing some insight… I prefer Expo to Pudong.
The InterContinental Pudong is convenient for a first stay from the airport, and a testament to Shanghai's early development since the 1990s. But the building has aged, the rooms have not been renovated. What remains is the club lounge, which is vast and offers quality service.
The InterContinental Shanghai Expo is certainly more recent, with spacious, bright rooms. But the location is far from central.
The InterContinental
Ruijin offers several advantages: it is located in one of the liveliest and trendiest districts, it is in the middle of a fabulous park, and the club lounge is very pleasant.
