For all of us here it will be silly to say that but there are lots of people who are suitably reassured when they’re a long way away that when they see the red, white and blue turn up to take them home, it gives them a sort of reassuring “feeling” - I’ve had many people describe that to me before!!
For some people the ‘reassuring’ bit is the knowledge that the aircraft has an open bar, especially when departing certain dry countries after having to work there for many weeks/months.
PS If you have ever been booked onto Saudia by corporate travel you will know what I mean!
