Only ever visited the EWR PL before and was planing to visit in the coming weeks.
I’m on the first Lufthansa flight if the day, with a 2.40 pm departure on a Tuesday. So Km guessing peak crowd times?

Was hoping to have dinner in the Dining room perhaps forego the meal onboard and just sleep to fight jet lag. But a factor here is I have no idea when Lufthansa check in will open say it opens 3hrs before departure which seem about standard. Will that leave ample time to clear customs, security head to PL have 1hr+ wait time to be seated slid service and then also make the flight? Not super familiar with SFO so would it usually be a long walk? Is it even the right terminal?

if not, are there better lounge options? 2 adults flyinge LH business class, I am *Gold/LH senator

Thanks in advance!
Unless you have a Platinum or Centurion Amex card to get access to the Centurion Lounge, then the Polaris lounge will be the best lounge at SFO flying LH Business / Star Gold.

Depending on what your body clock is, trying to sleep at 2:40pm in the afternoon might be a bit challenging. Given the relatively long flight time (it isn’t like flying from the east coast) having the LH meal and then sleeping would be my plan. Don’t think the Polaris dining room or buffet will have anything that will be orders of magnitude better than what LH will serve on board.
