You are amazing!!!!! That worked!!!!
I could finally send in a manual claim for my VN ticket.

The issue with the boarding pass is the size. They say they accept PNG, PDF, JPG and probably a couple more formats (don't remember exactly), up to 2MB per attachment.
But first of all, they only let you select PDF and PNG files. And then the effective limit seems to be much lower.
I had uploaded my boarding pass in PNG format (1.3 MB), and with your date trick, I was able to submit the form, but I then got an error message. And I could see that the error was that the file was too large.
So I resized it and with a size of a little under 400KB, it went through.

So to sum it up, the solution for submitting the manual claim is as follows:

1. On the "manual claim" page, change the date to a different date, and then back to the actual date. Then you can submit the form.
2. If you get an error message, the file you uploaded is too large. I'm not sure what the limit is, but 1.3MB is too large and <400KB is fine. Maybe the limit is 1MB, maybe the limit is 500KB - just try with a smaller file if you get an error message.
