Odd numbered center seats pairs on a 787 allow you to sit close to a companion, if you must. And you'll have the added benefit of a lie-flat seat, large video screen and internet that actually works. The 757s are nice, and the 2-2 setup would meet your window criteria, but the 787 is simply better on a 6+ hr TCON.
