I haven't had this issue with Concur, but with AA in general. Also have a suffix (please people, stop doing this to your kids, it's a giant PITA).

AA systems are stupid and do not handle suffixes correctly.

The fix for me was to add the suffix as part of my last name with AA. So instead of "Smith" as my last name and "Sr" as my suffix, I now have "Smith Sr" as my last name and nothing in the suffix. This has eliminated all of the issues for me.
