This is the Y ExpertFlyer seating plan for a flight I'm on next week - minus 72 hours. I've not been long-haul in years and well before I had any status, so thought I'd see what it did to the empty seat to me.

And yes, it looks blocked, as do about 80% of the other seats in the cabin which I don't quite get. I guess what I'm asking is, how do I interpret this, or is this just normal and you can't read much into it until people check in at -24 and the blocks fill up?
