Newbie here. Thank you in advance for your guidance and patience. I got a Qatar Airways card entitling me to Gold status. It was not a cheap card and in retrospect, I should have done more thorough research. Our plan was to bank a bunch of avios to pay for award tickets for a family of four to fly business class (QSuites) from the States to India. We have two elementary school-aged children. However, we are limited by their school schedule so we will be flying out around their winter break/Christmas break time (busy travel time). We have close to about 400k avios and I think we will have about 500k avios by mid-year next. We have a BAEC as well as AA FF accounts as well.

Questions:
1) Is there any realistic chance of being able to book round-trip award travel in business class from the US to India flying out approx. 12/19/2025 and returning January 2ish, 2026?
2) What am I supposed to do with Q points?
3) Any chance of buying economy and then upgrading with Avios?
4) Are there any other questions I should be asking?
