Issue linking account with Concur
I have a suffix in my name. It is III (for the Third).
My entire professional life I have had problems using my companies Travel Agent and booking flights on American Airlines. I have Platinum Pro STatus so I get some decent benefits with AA.
However when my Travel Agent books flights on American I have had the following Issues
Flight shows up in AA but I can't choose seats for free
Can't checkin online because of a name mismatch
Have a black boarding pass but get boarding group 9 because even though FF number is on booking there is a name mismatch
Sometimes reservatione never even shows up in my AA account.
I ONLY ever have these probelms with AA. I never have an issue with Delta, United or South West.
Currently my AA FF account is set up as follows
First Name, Middle Name, Last name, Suffix. Each of these are in the respective fields. Example my Suffix is in the Suffix field.
Some Travel Agents don't have a suffix filed in their software so they just add III to the end of my last name. SOme do have a suffix field.
The travel agenst always blame this on the airline and the airline always blame the travel agents.
Does anyone suffer the same problem? Do you know a permanent fix? DOes anyone work in the Industry and know a permanent fix?
My last companies travel agent called AA and worked jointly with them to get my name set up in AA's sytem so it would work flawlessly but that took 6+ months of complaining.
I started with a new company and it doesn't work again.
