Hotel which has been under the Hilton flag for just under a year (December 2023), after the rebranding of what was previously the Geen Park Hotel, following major renovation works. It is the only Hilton family hotel in the city and also the only one (apart from an SLH) in the Emilia Romagna region. For the area in which it is located, it is a hotel with strong business characteristics, not recommended for tourists unless they want to benefit from Honors points and benefits (and possibly if they have a car).
The hotel is on the north-eastern outskirts of Bologna, about 6 km from the city centre, has a large free car park and is connected to the center by city bus line 93 (frequency approximately every 30 minutes).
In this period it is not difficult to find rates in the 60-80 euro range, which can however double in conjunction with events at the nearby Bologna Fair.
Booking & Check-in
I booked the cheapest room, a Queen Bed, over a month in advance for a work commitment: I just needed a place to sleep at night so as not to commute from Milan. I found a rate of 76 euros, but rates of 63 euros were easily available on other dates.
On the morning of my arrival I noticed on the App the upgrade to a more expensive Twin Room and around lunchtime a further upgrade to a King Two Bedroom Suite.
No online check-in and no digital key provided, but still a very quick check-in around 3.00 pm. Informed of the upgrade and free breakfast as Honors Diamond, and of the bar and restaurant hours.
Room
The layout of the rooms is quite strange as the building, of only two floors, has a curious octagonal structure. Room numbering x01-x60 for each of the two floors, plus rooms 001-018 on the ground floor, behind the bar area.
My suite was on the second floor, brand new and very spacious, with a King Bedroom, a Queen Bedroom, both with their own bar fridge and big TV screen, and a living room with a sofa bed for two and another TV. In each of the rooms two refrigerators, each with two bottles of mineral water.
Breakfast
Typical HGI breakfast with a few made to order options. Waffle machine and classic Italian style selection. Coffee and cappuccino (the real ones) are available on request.
Common spaces
The lobby has an octagonal shape, with a glass roof and many chairs and armchairs, ideal for quick meetings. There are also several meeting rooms. The bar and restaurant overlook this space.
Very small gym with the bare minimum.
During my stay I noticed that over 90% of the guests were in the hotel for work, as there are several industries in the area. I also had the impression that very few guests were Honors members.
Transport and things to do in the surrounding area
It is a hotel which, due to its location, should preferably be reached by car. Bus line 93 connects to the city center. Ticket 1.50 euros, daily ticket 6 euros, payment possible on board by credit card. Unfortunately, from the city to the hotel the last bus leaves at 8.50pm and so if you want to stay late in the evening the only option is to return by taxi.
There are a couple of excellent restaurants nearby (within 1.5-2 km) but there is no sidewalk on the road; therefore, they must be reached by car or bus.

Bus schedule from the hotel to the city center (Piazza dei Martiri)
Conclusions
Excellent hotel, ideal for business customers but not recommended for tourists unless they are by car (or need an Honors stay).
