I’m most likely the exception than the norm here, having averaged 6-8 eastbound TCON redeye trips a year for probably the last 15 years … most of those the first few years were in Y, though between upgrades and simply WFBF that hasn’t been as much the case recently

while a window seat is a must for me, my biggest “hack” is to scrupulously avoid any connection that forces a comparatively short first leg from the west coast (SEA-MSP and SoCal-DFW/IAH being the worst instances)

I’m also not a fan of indulging in much if any lounge food or beverage before a redeye; as far as “assistance” I’ll take half a Tylenol PM an hour or so before boarding, and limit myself to no more than one drink on board

typically I’ve been able to power through the workday after arrival, with the objective being to have a fairly light dinner, get to bed by ~8p Eastern, and be more-or-less adjusted by the next morning
