As far as my buddy tells me, yes that is the new Transcon/P.S. meal ex-LAX.
As far as the domestic salad, my experiences with it ex-MCO have been anything but good, but that may have more to do with Flying Food Group (the caterer ex-MCO) than the salad spec itself.
I generally do not fly UA back to MCO, preferring DL, but maybe out of other stations, the domestic salad is better.
The bread is not great, I have no idea about the bread in the pic, but the bread/roll looks about what UA offers domestically (which is to say not great).
