I think the ticket pricing has pretty much been "AI" driven for a long time. I don't know exactly how prices get set, but what I envision is that they are automatically adjusted for expected demand (adjusted could mean just upping/reducing the number of seats in each fare class). And, that demand is basically a self-learned function pulling in demand, competition, etc. Besides labelling it as "AI", what's actually different?
I also think it is way way too late to try and hide your 'digital identity' with airlines. You've got to enter payment at some point, and it ain't easy to pay cash. Though I think you could still go to the airport counter and pay cash. At least in some states, all vendors must accept cash.
