I had a conference in Maui and decided to spend 2 days here. I rented a car and drove. It's not a totally easy drive since there's times when it's a single lane and you need to figure out who has right of way.

Don't bother with a SUA as a Globalist. It seems Globalist get into a oceanview bungalow anyway. I used one and I got the same room. I thought for it to be a fair upgrade if I used a SUA, they should give me the oceanview with a separate living room since the standard suite has a living room but it was a $150 up charge. Food is average, just eat at the food trucks next door. The thai food truck is really good and so is the tacos. It's all owned by the same family, the Thai, burgers and taco truck.

I had a good stay, the oceanviews have a good sunrise view in the morning. Service was great, no complaints. Not sure if I would ever come back because while that side of Maui is nice, it's a lot of work to get there and you can go to nicer places. The resort is on the older side, reminds me of an old camp but more luxurious.
