I have the following flight route planned and would like to know if a visa is required for Saudi Arabia, and if so, if there is a cheaper visa option available.

Purchased tickets:
IST to RUH (Saudia) 16:25 => 20:45
RUH to DXB (Flynas) (next day) 2:55 => 5:55

Regarding the conditions for not needing a visa in Saudi Arabia, various websites and this forum have presented three different views:
  1. Transit within 12 hours
  2. Transit within 12 hours and using an airline approved by Saudi Arabia
  3. Transit within 12 hours, using the same airline, and on a single ticket
In the case of this route, I believe it meets conditions 1 and 2, but is a visa still required?

When I started applying for a visa on the following site, the Saudi Arabia transit visa came to $249, which is very expensive. For cases like this where I'm only transiting within 12 hours, is there a cheaper visa option available?
