Folks thanks for the tips above. Got back and we were able to get a Golf Cart for 50 JOD round-trip to take us from the ticketing center all the way to the base in front of the Treasury in Petra. Expensive but worth it. They also sell 25 JOD one way and may be worth it coming back for folks since it is a slight uphill climb.
