From this point of view the
Hong Kong Marathon would be a possible Event for a Running DO. This year, it on February 27th, so a little bit late for planning a Running DO. The HK marathon has distance of 10, 21,1 and 42,195 km, so it might be interesting for the short and the long distande runners.
By the way, I read in ths thread, there was a question of a Marathon in Singapore. The
Singapore Marathon takes place in Decmeber, but as far as I know only full distance of 42,195 km.
