This is a two part question as we were booked on this flight yesterday connecting to Cpt.
1) Has an official reason been given for the 2hr 50 min delay as BA gold line said this was due to a late arriving airframe whilst the pilot said the original aircraft went tech on take off and a new aircraft was swapped?
2) as a result of the delay and BA unwillingness to swap us onto another Man - Lhr flight due to having checked bags we missed the CPT flight. Is EC261 due in this instance?
