I don't think so. AA is responsible for ensuring that partner flights for which an AAdvantage number appears in the PNR are properly credited to the AAdvantage account. It's AA's responsibility to fix whatever problem is preventing the mileage from properly crediting.
But the OP
paid AS, and AS contracted with AA to buy miles for the OP in exchange for some of the cash paid for the ticket. Follow the money!
(that doesn’t mean that there isn’t a good chance that AA or its systems are the root cause of the problem).
