The PNR is just a wrapper, so all sorts of things can happen within that. It's the ticket that matters, and a ticket is just an entry in the PNR's wrapper. So typically these sorts of changes stay within that PNR wrapper, but it's not particularly significant the ticket ends up in a different PNR. The PNR doesn't make much difference here.
