Unfortunately the bonus points will go into her AAdvantage account. We don't need 'em for this trip. But is there any way to combine 'em with mine, for fufure use ?
I'd second the vote to simply book a trip from her account to use the miles if possible, even if it splits into two one way trips. Awards are priced as one ways anyway, for the most part. And separate one way tickets allow for more flexibility regarding schedule changes, etc.
