Did try to buy on the 100% bonus last day, 9 October, got the same error. Credit Card then blocked, but reactivated some minutes later when I called the CC CS. Too late to buy for the promo now I guess, so next time I might email them.
Failure again, did send an email, no productive answer - they want me to contact the issuing bank, when I tried 3 different cards, all declined.
Guess I have to ditch the plan to buy points.
