I have a CI J itinerary coming up just before Christmas, HKG-TPE-SFO. This is truly a full circle moment for me, because 14 years ago, I took my very first long-haul J flight on the same airline and route as a teenager (paid for by my relatives whom I was travelling with). Back then, CI was still rocking the 90s yellow and purple cloth recliners in J I was already very well-travelled, having spent my childhood between two continents, but flying in J or F regularly felt like a pipe dream. Fast forward to now, and I'm proud to have made it possible for myself to do the vast majority of my flights in J or F. I'm excited to experience CI's new (to me) J product for the first time.

From what I've read, CI seems to only open meal selection three weeks before the flight, so I haven't been able to order a meal yet. I'm already looking forward to trying the vegetarian oriental dining on board. I hope it's as good as the beautiful vegetarian oriental meals I've enjoyed on EVA J in recent years! I will be sure to post photos here after my flights.
