Haha, but not a free for all I hope. Do they not have the ability to re-stock on board (guessing unlike even an airline like Spirit who has the items to restock and make 2nd and 3rd rounds)? A couple weeks ago I was on morning ORD-CLT flight - swapped to it the night before after upgrades ran, so I did clear at the gate but in 5E on the 737-900 which I dislike.... F/A got to row 5EF with the snack basket and there was just ONE single pack of almonds in it. That's it. I'm like this is embarrassing you even stuck this in front of us. I asked can I have one of the quinoa cookie things from coach? "Sorry, we are out of First Class snacks." I walked to the back and the F/A pulled the cart drawer out and told me to take as many as I wanted, so brought a handful for my seatmate and myself. Then again, this F/A also the moment a coffee cup or glass was empty, she snatched it without even slowing down so you couldn't ask for a refill....

Yes, absolutely have. I had a CLT-IAH morning flight with even the stupid shelf-stable Spirit cheese plastic mess and in row 5 got served as the pilot said we were starting initial decent. Other way around I've had hot meal served when the seatbelt sign comes back on. Like 45 minutes between mixed nuts/drink and meal tray.
On the other hand, I've had instances where turbulence (legit turbulence) interrupted service for a considerable period and the Purser managed to still serve a full 737 F cabin with less than an hour left. Some serious hustle.
