The issue is with Qantas not CX. The few miles are, you say, not that important - the status points from none, to 25, may make the difference in renewing status or not, given it is the end of my renewal period, and one of the reasons I flew the 5 segments in Qantas Business.
The fare difference was about $600 US and Qantas is yet to refund. That is what this is all about.
Should Qantas decline my business because they are sued, I am totally OK with that, they won't have the opportunity.
