United to fly GUM-TPE Starts April 2, 2X weekly. With all the travel carried by CI, BR and JX out of Taiwan it is good to see a US carrier trying ti squeeze their way in. Competition is always good. And its been years since UA/CO flew this route.
This pairing being a daytime one is a shocker. Back in the days, CMI only flew daytime to where they must (islands) and where they have multiple dailies (NRT/MNL), and primary tourist markets (Japan). Everything else was relegated to red-eyes (HKG, DPS, CNS, TPE, KHH, PVG, SEL...) Now that Japan is a minor market, and UA-Mike can't poach Korea...
