It is not uncommon on a Business multisegment ticket involving domestic segments, that some of the domestic segment are in Y when using Jetstar (fully-owned sub) with QF code.
The whole ticket might be based on Bizz pricing but the domestic segment operated in Y and with a Y fare bucket. All OW FFP will credit the Y fare bucket used on this segment, not C.
I am not saying that this is the cause of the "downgrade" and lower credit. Just a possibility.
I flew on the flight - it had business class - I bought 5 segments, the premium for this specific segment when I was quoted was close to AU $1K (I was quoted individually per segment, and chose to but all biz)\The downgrade per the agent was because they oversold the cabin. They offered to fly me on BIZ 9 hours later on VS - but that would have ruined the schedule. Will see - I am very persistent....... Thanks for the tips to all
