I guess so , but for me it's due to family emergency. Who knows, maybe the low redemption will go back into the pool when I cancel. [ it 's a good exercise in that sense]
We all have our problems and big Companies rarely alter their policies for our problems. If you want to see the current redemption rate then do a dummy booking on your dates, that will tell you the market rate, which I expect will what your seat will turn into if you run it back into inventory.
