The 5 pack of gift cards can be added to your wallet individually, but then they are cumulative in your wallet balance, so that is good there for flexibility. You could, for example, give one away as a $100 gift and then deposit the other four in your own wallet.

The downside is that is a lot of long codes to enter to deposit all five cards in one wallet, but not a bad trade off overall.
