I just noticed that in Amex's welcome bonus term, there is a clause "Eligible purchases to meet the purchase requirement are for goods and services minus returns and other credits."

What does "other credits" mean? Does that mean the reimbursements (like $200 dell credit) and Amex offer cashbacks will be subtracted from the total spend counted towards the welcome bonus?
