I remember the rooms were always fairly decent, but it was starting to look like a refurb was needed.
The lounge was never that great and attracted the “pre loading” crowd.
Location is very central and they used the undergrad Q Park car park, for which a discount was offered.
When the doubletree opened, without a lounge, they adopted a policy of free drink’s vouchers for HH members, it meant you could chose a decent drink at the regular bar.
I do remember the breakfast here being quite good, but often you ended up queuing for a long time to get in, which was irritating.
You’re into Christmas party season and both properties are often full on Fridays / Saturdays.
No recent experience, but interested in what it’s like now.
