LAS-BOS
November 15
I stuck with the Kosher meal for my return flight as the Persian beef stew sounded good:
However, even though it was a 1:55pm flight, I received the shut-eye menu rather than lunch/dinner:
Instead of assorted nuts to start, I was given taralli, and could have happily eaten them for the entire flight. Overall, the food was much better than my BOS-LAS flight, even though I am not a huge fish fan. I didn't eat the poached cod but found the barley and lima beans bland but fine. The smoked trout was dry and very fishy (even for a smoked fish), but the pickled vegetables and pineapple under it were tasty, if a bit odd. The chicken and couscous was water-logged and a very unappealing texture. The trail mix was a tasty mix of nuts, dried fruits, and mini chocolate chips. The Napoleon cake was incredibly sweet, and the roll was stale. I was also served a cup of Earl Grey and two bottles of red wine, which I was told came with the meal.
