First Class downgrade
Hello all, further to my post on October 19th:
I originally booked a MAN-LHR-LAX return (for 12-15th November) with an AmEx 2-for-1 in June (CW) and then used a Gold upgrade in July for First, all confirmed.
The return flight was cancelled in early October (no problem) and I accepted a later flight on the same day (BA280) still in First.
I later called BA who confirmed our new seats (row 3) were in First Class.
The BA website showed us being in First, right up until check in opened 24 hours before departure, when the reservation showed CW (as I suspected it would as everything pointed to a 772 cabin with no First Class).
On board BA280, the inflight manager was terrific and before we landed we were offered a £700 travel credit each for being let down.
Am I still entitled to 75% refund of the avios and fees paid?
Should I ask for the Gold upgrade to be reinstated?
Any advice gratefully received!
