Just to feedback: bags were out within 2-3 minutes of arrival in the baggage hall. I went out, asked information about a bus to kanazawa: they directed me to the correct stop (#1) and that there is a self-serve ticket machine. Note, the machine doesn't take CC (only IC card) as far as I could tell, but does give change for cash.

Bus pulled up a couple of minutes later but waited ~10 minutes after that to ensure all passengers from my flight made it to the bus. Bus was not even half-full.

Also of note, on the website, it suggests that there are stops after Kanazawa station (that would have been more convenient for me), but the driver said that, at least for this bus, Kanazawa station was the last stop (easy cab ride to my hotel: the most tricky part was inability of driver to give me change -- luckily buying the bus ticket had given me a few coins, so it worked out eventually).
