  1. Yes, it works just as advertised. Full paid Business First ticket is required, the BA GGL or Star Alliance Gold upgrades don't qualify (not that that would matter for GGLs flying BA).
  2. T2 (unless it's half-term or something) does not usually require fast track, and the Elizabeth line is now stable enough to be the better value choice compared to HEX, certainly if not traveling to the immediate vicinity of Paddington station. Quite a few places have changed their travel policies as a result - no more cab + HEX if traveling from the City, even for those where that was normal before and where you weren't expected to take the Piccadilly line to save a few quid.
