When was the last time you made a INTL-Domestic connection at ATL? Because since several years ago this has been the arrangement at TSA. Please don’t post inaccurate information.

At ATL and several other airports, INTL to Domestic security is split between US Citizens/Residents and Visitors. The visitors line is usually long because they only dedicate 1-2 positions, while the US line is faster and is a soft PRE line, meaning that more often than not, you do t need to remove anything. If you are a non-US Citizen and you have TSA PRE then you are allowed to join the US line.
