You need to look at this in the totality of your getting to LHR not just one part of it.
I've been on the HEX many times and I usually travel business class to avoid the crowds at rush hours. Easier to find luggage space also. For me, the choice is between car service and the combination of cab/HEX in business class. From a price perspective they are comparable. But in my experience, HEX/cab is faster than a limo because the black cabs are allowed to use the bus lanes. Recently, a traveling companion took two hours from LHR to the hotel in a limo. My door-to-door travel time was 45 minutes (HEX to Paddington followed by black cab to the Covent Gardens area).

In short, I am going to travel business on the HEX regardless of fast track access at the airport. I just want to understand if I can use my HEX ticket at the fast track lane at LHR.
