It's not complicated--it's about the beds. Two queens sleep four people; one king does not, even with a rollaway. The policy seems perfectly reasonable to me. It's not a cash grab, because you're more than welcome to put four people in one room by booking the most basic room at the hotel with two queen beds.



They sold me an upgrade to a deluxe plunge pool suite (at a very fair price) this week for a stay over Thanksgiving, so the ability to pay for an upgrade appears to be alive and well.
