Thumbs down My first (and last) experience flying Etihad

I'm known for my loyalty to EK and still hold status and miles with them. Recently I decided to try Etihad since they had offers in J class to ICN (50% the price of regular J fares on EK.) Smooth check-in and ground service. Flight from KWI - AUH lacked IFE. AUH - ICN and ICN - AUH was on their B787 and their seats were uncomfortable (was flying with my mom) and IFE was boring! In-flight service and dining was fine (not bad, but not good neither.) I liked they have special area and mattress for praying. Flight from ICN - AUH was cancelled and no compensations were offered, booked us the following day with no seats next to each other. Amenity kit was a joke (cheap dental kit, no shaving kit provided, no perfume offered.) Pajamas were meh.

Despite the deals we paid for (700 KWD round-trip KWI - ICN in J per passenger) we would not fly Etihad again and remain loyal to EK. I don't understand how people fly and love this airline.

I must admit, transit experience in AUH is much better than DXB (ok both journeys.) Other than that I'm not flying Etihad again.
