I just flew scoot regular economy NRT-SIN and it was a very good experience overall. I found this thread because I was curious what others thought.
Maybe it’s just setting expectations. The 787 seat was really comfortable, a ton of padding, felt like flying in the 90s or earlier. The seat power requiring payment is comical but that’s their model….
I brought my food onboard so can’t comment on catering. I paid a little extra for a seat with more pitch but then moved to an empty row after departure. With a comfortable seat and empty row it’s hard to have a bad experience. But still, the seats were far better than other Asia LCCs (AirAsia, Peach), full service intra Europe and USA.
Baggage delivery at SIN was very slow.
Yeah I’d rather fly JL but at 1/3 of the price even after a checked bag I’m quite satisfied and would do it again.
