Does the "full fare free seat assignments" apply to codeshare operated flights - meaning BA metal but partner airline codeshare? I usually book BA metal via AA.com (and I usually select the fully refundable fare), and I thought I needed to pay to preselect seats, even when purchasing full fare PE class, when I didn't have One World Sapphire / Emerald status (was One World Ruby at the time I believe)....but I could have misremembered exact scenario as it was quite sometime ago. I still have the receipts for the $100+ seat selection transactions when I pre-selected seats on my BA flights back then.
