Not sure whether this is just a one-off or indicative of at least a partial change in strategy but there is a new construction Spark in Las Vegas that is scheduled to open in January, albeit not accepting reservations yet so that date will likely get pushed back. It is going to be next to a Tru and in front of a Homewood so likely has the same ownership as them. I tried to put the Google Street View image in this post but it wouldn't take; click on the address on the link and you can see it, although you'll have to move to the street as the link takes you to the parking lot of the Homewood. Going backwards on Street View it looks like the site was graded dirt with construction fencing around it before Spark existed so there's a chance it was originally intended to be something else.
