I always feel bad when someone has no option but to use a sympathy fare, and I'm glad we are able to offer it. I makes me furious though, when a few decide to abuse it.

I appreciate this entirely and am horrified that someone would try to manipulate the system to their benefit like this! I can assure you that I'm not trying to do this and I would prefer to take my intended holiday in two weeks time, attend my friends' wedding and for my grandfather to be in perfect health. The case as it is I'm being told he will probably not survive another 48 hours and I will have to return to work in the UK prior to my friends wedding ... not an ideal exchange.

And I'm definitely not trying to scam a cheap fare, the ticket I'm holding is close to £4k, out in T (now I can't use my MFU on the latest new date) back in D ... all I want is my seats on different days!
