Whether it was right or wrong, I'll leave that but yes, a decision made by the man who is now the Prime Minister. Not wanting to be sullied with dirty laundry, decision made, he exited and the Acting CEO (former CFO Jeff McDowell) was made to front it.
I think it's wrong to lay all the blame on the CEO for the decision. Air NZ has an exec team and board that ultimately make these decisions with his voice being only one of many.
