Good question! I don't think so, but perhaps its better. You have to backtrack out to G, then walk land side to E, and go through security. Probably about the same. Would be a good test run to make though!
They are both long and roundabout, but It's very hard to imagine that exiting secuirty would be faster. Think of it this way. Either way you are going to walk back along the hallway towards G to where the new tunnel to the rotunda (F) splits off - you can't exit security near the CL. From that intersection, which is faster?
  • Back to G, Landside, back to F, clear security, over to E (yellow path in the drawing below)
  • Through the tunnel to the rotunda, through the other tunnel to E1, to your E gates (Green path in the drawing below)
The first one is shorter but, I don't think it is by enough to make up for clearing security and three escalators.
