Last year I stayed 30+ days on a Staybridge in Florida. They actually had significantly lower rates for any stays of 30 days or more so were actually encouraging longer stays. Didn't think of checking whether any taxes were different above 30 days. They charged me weekly, but there was a wording in the reservation that the daily rate may go up if I checked out early. I actually checked out one day early, but it was still over 30 days, so no impact on the daily rate.

I would assume though that Florida could have quite different rules than California when it comes to tenants...
