I have always preferred to be one of the last to board ( am talking decades ) as almost always have a J seat and usually only travel with a backpack. Prefer to stretch and walkaround until having to board, last minute exercise. Since coming across so many seat poachers this year ( full on sitting in my seat with no valid reason to be sitting in my seat ), I now board as early as possible so to avoid having to deal with these entitled people ( arguing about how unreasonable I am ).

Agree with people that have shown compassion for flyers that are trying to sit with young children, a spouse or elderly people, but do not sit in my seat with a predeparture drink at hand and carry-on stowed. Be respectful ( like some have mentioned in this thread ). Respecting your like kind exchanges or maybe even self downgrade but for the love of God do not think you are entitled to my seat.
