Not as many tier points as FCO - DOH - CMB - CGK with Qatar and Sri Lankan, but don't forget that Royal Jordanian have MAD/CDG - AMM - BKK - KUL/HKG for about £1500, with the last leg on Malaysia or Cathay. 2 long hauls and a short haul for tier points, so only 640 TPs, but it's a 787 on the overnight so you sleep a lot better than on UL! Google Flights throws up a lot of dates where there's no cheap availability on the AMM-BKK leg, but if you find the dates you roughly want, you can then hop to the RJ site to see the actual cheap dates + book.
Just a pity that the RJ 787s are still 2-2-2 and that's their only widebody product. To be fair I have flown what I think are the same seats on SV and they weren't bad. Hopefully we start seeing some WY participation when they onboard to OW.
