Signage at check-in counters being removed (for outstations)
I don't know if this applies to the outstations you've all flown through, but IST is a regular AF-KL route for me. I've recently noticed that for the last couple of months, the local contracted airline workers have stopped placing the large rolling (Economy/SkyPriority) signs in front of the lines before the check-in counters. Not to be a snob, but this has caused massive confusion as people just line up to the SkyPriority lane, even though they are not eligible. Unless one is first in line, it slows things down for actual SkyPriority/J flyers. In addition, when the counters finally open (3 hours before departure), they open both SkyPriority AND economy lanes at the same time, again causing SkyPriority users down the line to have to wait. Do you think this is worth writing a complaint to AF/KL for? Has anyone noticed this at other non-SkyTeam hub outstations? I recently flew through BRU and the signs where there as normal. This, in addition to the SkyTeam lounge "burning down" and out of commission for months now (with no update in sight), makes flying out of IST a disappointing experience for those of us who fly AF/KL there.
Come to think of it, I've never in my life seen a check-in area for an airline where there are no signs separating the different cabins/elite levels at all, where it's just a free for all...
